Losing short cut for Samsung Galaxy Tablet

I add short cuts and when I restart the machine some of them are gone. Any help

What kind of short cuts are you adding and what program are you using?

I have the same issue with the only two games I've installed; Angry Birds and AirTraffic controller. Everything else stays put.

The ones that disappear are probably ones you have saved to your SD card. For some reason, the tab won't leave them on the home screen after you turn it back on after you power it off. I kept losing my angry birds & dolphin hd icons every time I turned it on in the morning & couldn't figure out why. Don't know why Samsung is different then HTC, cause my evo doesn't do this.

yup highway is correct. Any apps that have a shortcut on the home screen AND are saved on the SD card will dissapear when the tab is reset. No clue why but its very odd.....

If you put them in multicon they seem tlo stay

I am notticing this also. Anything saved to the SD card does not show up when the device is turned on and off.

Very weird. Do you think there will be an update for this? It kind of defeats the whole purpose of putting the apps on the SD card.

Frustration!!!!!

I have the same problem with apps not staying in place with I turn off. When I turn it back on in the mornings 5 of my apps.... the ones that did not come with the Galaxy are gone. So I have to go back into my apps and place the Icons back on my screen.
They are not games as I use mine for work only. The most frustrating is my stock update app. I have to manually reinter all my stocks everytime this happens. My HTC does not have this problem.
Also.....Many times my apps will not even open..... gives me a reading of ERROR FORCE CLOSE.
I am ready to go to Apple.............. so upsetting

how do you do multi icon.....

if you use ANY other type of launcher this problem goes away, its a problem with the stock launcher.
