Losing Wifi whenever screen turns off

Phone is not rooted, baseband v. 2.15.00.07.28, kernel v.2.6.32.17-g9a2fc16

Sorry if this is a longstanding issue. I just got this phone.

Phone detects and connects to Wifi fine. But when the phone goes to sleep and I wake it back up, the Wifi connection is gone. I turn off/on the wifi and it works again. When it is not working, it still shows that the wifi is connected fine. But when I try to get anything from the internet I get "cannot connect" errors.

My Wi-Fi sleep policy is already set to Never...and has always been set to Never.

Is anyone else having these issues? I have other devices connected to the same wireless router and nothing else has issues.

menu ,settings,wireless & networks , wi-fi- settings then menu again ,then advanced tab on bottem right of screen , then wi-fi sleep policy set it to never .do this again to see if it will reset itself

Try resetting it from Never to Always, then do a soft reset, go back in and change it back to Never and see if that works.
