Loss of data connection after root

I just rooted using revolutionary. Everything seem to go well during the process but now I have no data connection. If I go to settings, mobile network is checked but if I go to access point names it says vzwinternet[disabled].

I've tried toggling between cdma and lte but it didn't help. I'm running the gingerbread ota. Any ideas?

Forgot to mention wifi works fine.

I've been able to get 3G working using these steps:

So called Verizon and they had me dial ##778.
-Click edit
-type 000000
-Then under modem settings
-I changed Rev. A to "enable" rather than EPST
-Then rebooted the phone, and data worked again!?!

But 4G isn't working

you could try to install a different radio. Have you flashed a new rom or anything?

Ya I was thinking of trying the radio flash. I have not installed any roms yet.

i would say give flashing a new radio a try and let us know if anything changes

That should work.

I guess this is one example of how losing VZW support after rooting is a good example of the "cons" of rooting. You have to understand that when you root you take on the responsibility of phone "support" yourself. If you aren't up to it, don't root.

So glad I rooted running bamf forever. Imo's kernel overclocked never gonna look back rooting every phone I get from now on

Unfortunately, flashing the radios isn't helping. I was already on 0.01.78.0906 for LTE. So I flashed down to 0.01.78.0802. No 4g. Then I flashed back to 0.01.78.0906. Still no 4g. What gives? Do I need to flash cdma radio as well? Would wiping out the phone and flashing bamf help?

if you were planning on flashing a new rom anyway you might as well try it. thats just my attitude towards my phone though, everything i've learned has just been from me screwing around, trial and error. If it still doesnt work, at least you figured that much out until someone with more knowledge than us comes along.

Just flashed bamf. 3g works but still no 4g.

4G just started working today. I guess it was just the Verizon outage.
