Lost a video trying to load to FB

This ever happen to anyone? If so, recoverable?

I tried to load a video to FB and got a failure notification. Then... the video was gone. I know the video was there. I watched it several times before trying to load it. I'm in tech field and know what I'm doing with these damned things. I've not rooted this phone. This is the first time I've had any kind of a problem with the phone. Maybe an SD card corruption?

Try unmounting/remounting the SD card or just reboot the phone. I've read where that does the trick and media files show up again.

Thanks. I had removed the SD card also and placed it in a card reader - no luck. I saw there are a few apps out there that claim to recover lost files.... The only ones I saw require a cost and or a rooted phone... This particular video is not worth that trouble. But... if anyone has any confidence in any of these apps, I'd be willing to give it a try. Never lost a picture or video before... hope it's the last time
