lost all my people

crazy stuff, people, contacts are gone but when they call there name and number show up on the phones caller id. when i go into the people app to update a contact all 100plus are gone????

I have the opposite at times when it says unknown # and then after the call caller id identifies the person in my address book.

in the contacts hit menu then click display make sure you have them checked

tried that with no improvement, shows (0) next to each group??
