Hi I was transferring across my samsung phone contacts onto the new S4 phone I got and accidentally hit backup on the new phone and it has now erased both of the phones contacts except what is on the sim.

Is it possible to get this back on my Samsung s3 mini there not showing up anymore since I did the back up and deleted them by mistake.

I also removed the account on my old phone as it wasn't syncing so setup a new account on samsung account then I used samsung smart switch to try but still only the contacts on the sim.

Have you any advice for this I had over 1200 contacts

Thanks for your help

You didn't use the Samsung Kies software to backup your information?
And you don't have your contacts synced with Google?

I can't imagine why the app that you used to transfer the contacts would have deleted them from the source; that was certainly unexpected.

Hi here is the three problems:

1.)Im not used to a samsung phone so don't know much about them

2.) The phone shop backed up the contacts onto a gmail account I then back up the new device which is the S4 and it deleted the numbers from the old phone for some reason as well??

3.) I then forgot I I downloaded and synced it on kies there a few months back which would be ok but I checked there and I reinstalled it there last night without thinking of kies as it needed an update.

Any suggestions here lads please

Thanks
