Had something really weird happen the other day. All of a sudden my incoming call screen wont pop up anymore. If the AOD is on the only way to answer a call is to hit the power button, get to the home screen, slide down and click answer. Even if it is on the home screen when a call comes in I must slide down and hit answer. I will be happy to answer anything that I haven't added. I will add this is on Verizon.

I think I've had that happen to me too, and I also have always on display (which may, or may not, be a contributing factor)

So far I have power cycled, I have cleared the cache for both the dialer app (Samsung stock) and for the entire phone. I have made sure notifications are active...I'm just stumped.

So with AOD off it's fine?

Also, you haven't mentioned how any of your settings in the call settings are set up on this screen.

Have you added any new apps around the time this issue started? You may want to go into general phone Settings > Apps > three dot menu App permissions > Phone and see what apps are accessing the phone app. It may be a wayward app causing your problem.

Happen to me the first week I got my phone, had to do a factory reset, that was the only thing that fixed it. Could not find uncalledui

That instruction worked for me for answering calls. Touched green button and call connected easy. Before it wouldn't answer by pressing the green button, sometimes pushing it hard, other times not at all. I was trying some apps, probably that was it.
