I just topped up, using a $20 card. Got the success e-mail. Afterwards, I tried to Google something and got "Web Page Not Available". I toggled airline mode, I turned it on and off repeatedly, I pulled the battery. Still no Google. Any advice? :-\
It's a VM card. I got the internet back, sort of. it now defauluts to the VM homepage but won't load completely. Now I'm getting and error message that says:
jCarousel: No width/height set for items. This will cause an infinite loop. Aborting...
That is verbatim, including caps and punctuation. There is an OK button to hit. i hit it and this jCarousel thing pops up again. the infinite loop, I guess.
Anyway, my data can take hours to stop redirecting to Virgin Mobile even after receiving a successful topup message. Rebooting the phone does nothing. You'll have to wait it out and hope that there will only be a brief wait time. I think the worst of mine took like 5 - 8 hours. I was about to call them at that point, but it worked later on in the day.
I highly doubt it matters, but I buy topup codes with PayPal from a trusted third party site.
Mine did the same thing, but I am on the 60 plan. The day before phone service worked fine, and it would just go to VM website. I called and got the standard BS India line of yes... sorry sir. Yada yada. I decided to go anhead and just call back and make the payment over the phone. About 1 min later guy said payment was accepted. And I hung up. Internet was working. I guess lesson I learned here is that I need to pay the bill 1 day in advance so the Net will work. Very odd.
You could try the active button even though your phone call service is working (im assuming) and let it do the 1..2..3.. It may take a wile, but I had another issue and another poster suggested trying this. Fixed my 3G service and net service. I was in the middle of the month so it was not a money issue. IDK worth a shot. It does take a while if you try it.
