android: 4.4.2
waze: aftrer update: 3.9.3

Maybe it's not the correct place to post but I'm angry about losing my favorites when waze updated itself.
Does anyone knows what to do?
thanks

partial solution: I registered (waze settings) and got my home back, found where favorites are and the main thing is: got my favorite voice (also disappeared during update). I'll wait for a while and hope that it works OK. My favorite trajectories are the least important loss.
BTW, tried to find an answer in waze forum on the web, but find no way to register. it is impossible to do it on the web.

I have Waze on my Galaxy S5 and on my Nexus, and have never entered a favorite on my Nexus, but they are there, following my account login on Waze. So you are logged on, but they did not follow?

Best thing for all of those problems is to turn OFF Automatic Updates.

Unless the app is broken, why try and Fix it?

I never update apps unless they quit working.

Be careful about Waze if you notice that it stops giving audible directions. After the latest update of 12/23/14, when using Waze for more than a half hour, not only did the audio go out, but even after shutting off the app, the sound on my LG G3 was killed, even though all the settings were normal. I missed a phone call and a text before discovering the problem, additional test calls showed the ringtones were silent, and the only fix was a power cycle of the phone.
Thinking the app was corrupted, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Waze and it caused my messaging app to freeze when Waze sent a verification text to my phone. Something is seriously wrong with the latest update to Waze.

I use Waze quite a bit, and noticed the phone going funky on a long 1100 mile trip back home just a couple of days ago.

I then just stopped Waze, and locked the screen, unlocked the screen.
On my phone, this causes MacroDroid to go thru 8 macros, one of which resets the volumes. I then restarted Waze and all was good again.

My list of Macros:

  • Screen locked, internet off
  • Screen unlocked, internet on
  • 2200 hours, Notify OFF until 6 AM
  • Ring Volume set to Max when screen Locked (never missed a call since)
  • Set Awake Defaults. (this one sets all of my volumes to My Preferences each time the phone wakes up)
  • Request Location (this one replies to a SMS "whereareyou" with my geo lat/long)
  • Low Battery Warning (set at 40%.... I like to keep the tank more than half full)
  • Data ON for an app (I often turn off DATA manually quite often when using certain GPS mapping programs (like Co-Pilot), but if a particular app is activated, it needs DATA)
  • Cell Tower Log (this one will send a log of all Cell Tower changes to your Today Calendar) a neat thing for diagnosing problems, but you don't want to leave it ON.

anyhoo, in My Particular Case, MacroDroid corrected the ills that TWC42 just posted about on Waze.

MacroDroid a very powerful, and belongs in everyone's Toolbox. Turning the internet off/on as needed extends the battery life immensely, my phone is at 36 hours off charge and still has 81% even after reading off all of those macros from it. I just got off a 90 minute phone call with Verizon activating an old phone on a New Line. that is neat, Month to Month and can turn it off when I want. Early this morning, I had another phone call that lasted 45 minutes, and on both calls I used a BlueTooth headset.
