What's up everyone. Recently on April 12th, I lost my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone. When I realized it, I called it twice to see if I can hear it. On the third try, it went straight to voicemail. I then finally got into my Lookout account and tried to track it but the phone was already off. I finally signed into Samsung's Find My Mobile service and they have a feature that when anyone turns the phone on, it will lock my phone, display a message and track it when it turns on. The problem is that I activated a feature on the phone settings that when the phone turns on, a black passcode protected lock screen comes on. No wallpaper, no notification bar, nothing but a keypad. What lock screen setting is that? And will the Find My Mobile software work at all if that passcode is not put in? Thanks in advance.

Found out that the option in the settings is called "Ask for a password/PIN on boot". If this is enabled, will the Samsung Find My Mobile service work at all? Also, what about the Google and Lookout Find My Phone feature? Thanks

As long as it gets service via WiFi or cellular data it should be able to track it. I believe the radios turn on at that point in the boot process. If you have lookout though, it should have told you where it last was before the battery died, it's a feature I believe is called signal flare.
