This morning I upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to Android 7 and in the process I seem to have lost several important contacts.
I have been using MYBACKUP PRO to save my contacts but I am unable to RESTORE contacts from a previous saved file. I am not sure why!!

I probably should have exported the contacts to my device before the update.

Anybody can provide me with a solution? Otherwise I will have to painstakingly type out all the contacts from my saved backup.

Very frustrating!!!

Were these contacts saved to the local Phone account only? If they were saved to your Google account, then they would have automatically synced with your Google Contacts in the cloud, and you could see them easily at contacts.google.com. This is one of the main reasons I strongly recommend saving contacts to Google, and not locally.

Otherwise, try contacting the My Backup developers for assistance: support@rerware.com

Glad the contacts are coming back -- I hope all of them do!

Do you recognize any of the information in those Unknown Name contacts?
