LOUD noise in speakers now radio no sound and screen freezes

[Android Central Question]

2015 MKT. Started making LOUD random noise that sounded like a load of rocks being poured on car. Now no sound, radio screen freezes, Bluetooth says Android A52 connected, but no soud through speakers. Have done battery reset, Bluetooth reset, about to go pull fuses. I just haven't found any discussions about horrible noises prior to failure. Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! What is "2015 MKT"? Is that an off-brand Android car head unit? Those are notorious for being unreliable, with little-to-no support from the manufacturer. There's probably nothing else for you to do besides replace it. I'd recommend looking for a head unit from a reputable manufacturer that supports Android Auto, rather than just running a really old and hamstrung version of Android.

Ahhh, now I get it. That totally sounds like something to discuss with the dealer, if mustang7757's DIY solution doesn't help.
