Louder volume in ear buds

Is there a setting that will allow you to get more volume through earbuds? They just aren't loud enough. My plug in ear buds are louder which is expected but I'm wondering if there is something in the developer options that I can change for bluetooth?

There isn't. Are you sure you're using the max volume on the phone (if the volume control isn't 'linked')? You might need to max out both phone AND headphones for max output. Also which earbuds are you using? Do they have individual volume controls?

I think so. I turned the volume up all the way on the phone and then on the ear buds. I'm using the Sony WF_1000XM4.

Aggravating that my free plug in ear buds have more volume than a $300 pair of ear buds. But the Sony sound great and have very good anc.

Unfortunately Bluetooth earbuds don't have large enough batteries and amplifiers to provide the sound level you're accustomed to. The output to wired buds is definitely higher. The Sonys are great....I have the prior generation headphone version.
