Wow, I cannot believe they gave us such an abysmal power button. It moves a lot, sometimes doesn't work, and it's such a weak press.

Such a high quality phones gets marred by the one thing you need to press everyday.

I thought the Razr and Maxx were bad with their wiggly, weak button. I swear, Motorola is getting worse with their power buttons.

I just upgraded my wifes phone to the droid 4 and hers fills good, havent gotten a complaint yet, I guess she likes it!

Sent from the my hayabusa!

My wifes is fine too. In fact it has a great push feel to it. Not wiggly piggly or anything. Maybe you got a bad button?

thats what i thought, too...i went to the store and the display along with 2 in the boxes felt worse than mine

its a work phone, so changing it out isnt an option unless it stops working...just annoying

My power button has the same characteristics. It works, but seems very loose.

Checked out two different units in a store, and neither of them had a problem with the power button. Maybe it was a particular run or batch of them?

Mine has a wiggle button, too. It tends to settle to the left but works fine. The D4 was the store demo that I had to take because of time constraints. The return-window is still open if need be.

bgeoghegan - you described my power button exactly. It works but only if I tend to 'lean to the left' on the button press.

They should have made it bigger, given the amount of times you are required to press it.

My daughter has one and she managed to turn it off tonight and now the power button doesn't work at all. They are taking it in for a replacement tomorrow.

The power button definitely feels cheap, but I think the give in it is meant to keep one from shutting the phone off while holding it to use the keyboard. When I hold the phone to type, my hand rests right on the button, yet because the button moves, the phone doesn't shut off mid-text.
