This option to hide the nav menu in apps is awesome, now we can use full screen in all apps.

Biggest issue I've found is if you hide it and find yourself in a area you can type, tapatalk for example, it's almost impossible to bring it up without activating the keyboard and all you can do is hit down to hide the keyboard which hides the navigation bar again. This turns in to a vicious cycle.

At least they gave us the option to disable it. Really wish they would have left the navigation bar colors alone.

For me after applying the update, I can no longer make the background of the navigation transparent. Any ideas?

I like the idea per se, but it disappears so fast and I was constantly tapping things in apps that I didn't want to. Going back one screen was always problematic, so in the end I killed the function.
I think they gave us that to avoid burn in from it. If they didn't make it blinding white, there would be no burn in... Sigh! Dear google, can I have dark theme this Xmas please.... ??????

Agree. Only got to enjoy my color I created for my nav bar for a month and they took it away.

I'm really disappointed about the removal of this feature as well, but why pick white out of all colors when the screen is amoled??

I take zero credit for this. Im simply passing along what I found on xda.

I have my black navigation bar back which makes me very very happy. Using adb you can achieve this extremely easy. The code I used is:

adb shell settings put global navigationbar_color -16777216
adb shell settings put global navigationbar_current_color -16777216

You can essentially choose any color you want by editing the number values. The color maintains after a reboot. You must uncheck "Use theme" in the display>navigation bar settings. Do not choose any of those colors they offer after setting yours in adb or you will lose your custom color and will have to adb it again. The thread and all information is located below:

Bxactions has been updated to remap the Bixby button with the latest update.

All is right in the world.

It's OK sometimes, kinda dislike the extra step of swiping up just to go back a page. Pretty annoying.

Can you choose to not accept this update? I like the idea of hiding the nav buttons, but I'd like to be able to choose on the fly when it hides and when it doesn't. I also don't like what I'm hearing about the color thing.
