Love this phone just have a few questions

I dont use the stock headphones on this device and when plug in any other headphones but stock a notification comes up telling me what apps use headphones (music player, youtube, etc) and it wont go away until i unplug them. Also when i use the keyboard i get a notification in the status bar telling me to select a input method, which also doesnt go away until i close the keyboard.

Any help would be appreciated.
