I've had the htc10 for a week and a half, and have run on a few benchmark tests. I'm not experiencing any performance issues, but my last score was 103940. Did the usual clear apps, restart phone. Seems kinda low for " The world's most powerful smart phone".

If you don't have any problems and the 10 runs fast, why worry about it? It's the experience that matters not the benchmarks. I am glad that AC doesn't bother with them.

The 10 is tuned for immediacy of response and a better feel in day to day use. Compared to something like an S7, the 10 feels faster, though it may not run benchmarks as fast.

Just for kicks I ran an Antutu benchmark on my 10 and got a score of 138280. Also on my M9 I got 104320.

I don't know about Antutu, but the numbers I got for 3DMark were a bit lower than expected - but that was because I already had my widgets/background apps/etc. running. And I'd run multiple benchmarks one after the other.

I ran mine just to see, got 122k Mine suffered with I/O performance, sd card is likely causing that.

The last time I ran a benchmark test was in 2010. Because I just don't care how my phone compares to another. If it works for me, that's all there matters.

Very true. I only ran it for curiosity, uninstalled right after since it doesnt mean much and has alot of variables involved. If someone wants to know what the phone can really do for a benchmark number, you need a factory reset and disabling of most apps to maximize. Which in the end means nothing for regular usage.

^ :) When I hear "benchmark test", it brings up old memories of things like Nova Launcher and other stuff I haven't bothered with since using HTC phones.

😂😂😂Yes

(Well since the Desire HD days for me. Been using HTC for a very long time)

Mine got the highest score I've ever seen on the Damon test, so I'm fine with that.

Well, I'd assume something is bogging down the phone a bit in the background.

That said, the only reason I do benchmarks these days is for fun. I don't really care about it these days, especially since current smartphones and even ones from 2014 are more than powerful enough to handle daily tasks. In fact, lots of phones these days, even down to a 2015 Moto G with an SD410, can handle the usual tasks just fine without issue. So I wouldn't really worry about a lower benchmark score, especially if the phone performs well in the real-world.

Add me to the list of those who care more about a feeling than a score.
