Low call volume after update

Is anybody else having call volume problems through the earpiece and or on speakerphone after nougat update? Some calls it's loud with both options, sometimes I can barely hear the phone ring or people talking on the other end.

Now that you mention it yes. On a few calls recently I looked to see if I had the volume down for some reason as it was low.

Honestly I don't talk on the phone a lot but this past week with my son away in Puerto Rico I talked on both speaker and ear a lot and wondered about the volume

Haven't noticed about the volume in phone calls but the audio volume in the music apps is horribly low. Also noticed that all audio in the browser or in youtube starts out with a very bad echo which eventually stops but the volume remains low.

I have noticed this also. Not on all calls but on most. Hope they put out a patch soon.

My wife says she has noticed a drop in call volume on her S7 since update but my note 5 is actually louder and I've had to turn it down.

I was gonna take it into Verizon to maybe get a replacement if my phone was damaged but I know they will just tell me to do a factory reset and come back if it still happens. But since others are having the same problem it's good to know it's not damaged

I have random reboots. I can't stand this update. Best phone turned into turd soup.

Other than the weird audio echo I have the only other thing is battery life but it has been horrid for almost a year and a half since I got it. I've heard that Nougat gets much better battery life but the trick is to factory reset the phone which is on my list of things to do tomorrow. I'll let you know if my audio problem is solved with a reset.

Lastnight I found the cause of the low audio volume as well as the echo. Settings/Sounds and Vibrations/Sound Quality and effects. I had gone through the Adapt Sound which is supposed to customize sound level and quality especially for me. I reset this by going in to the equilizer and chosing Rock and the sound level is back to normal again and no more echo.

I can't say if this will fix the problems for anyone else but it has for me. Good luck.
