Low file space

I just encountered this problem today. While i was texting just after the text app force close(as usual) my phone displayed a message saying "low file space. please make more file space to send or recieve messages." now ive done everything i could... i deleted all my messages i deleted apps that i dont use i even went and downloaded cachemate and its still stating this message... its really annoying... if anyone could give me some help that would be great

Settings > Applications >Manage Applications > Messages

hit the Delete Cache button. If you are using a different messaging app do the same with that and see if it improves.

I had the exact same "low file space" warning, even after clearing everything that could be cleared. I took it into a Verizon store, they did a master reset, and things seem to be good now...no more message.
