Low resolution contact image when receiving calls

When I call a contact, the contact image is high resolution and crystal clear. However, when receiving a call from the same contact, the contact image resolution is extremely pixelated and looks like crap.

Any ideas? Running 4.4.2.

First step is to log into Google from a PC and look at your contacts to make sure Google has high resolution photos stored. If so, you can try clearing the data and cache for the People app and then resynching. Your People app should them grab the photos from your Google account and make then default.
