Low supply levels deliberate?

It seemed like the channels were finally starting to get the prime in stock again, but now they've dried up again. I know that Asus says that the new primes aren't replacing the old primes, but I seem to remember them saying the same thing about the OG Transformer when they introduced the Prime. I think that the new primes have something to do with the low stock levels. If I were Best Buy or Amazon, would I want to have a large stock of a brand new but already replaced tablet? Or, if I were Asus, would I want to tie up $ making the tablets with the problems that I corrected in a new line? I think the current low stock levels and the new primes are connected. What do you think?

think if they could make them faster they would. I'm sure they would have loved to plenty on hand before Christmas.

Is it really all that surprising considering what happened with the og transformer? I only got mine because I was persistently clicking update on all the retail sites fairly frequently. With school out at the time I had nothing better to do and am now typing from my prime using the dock.

Not too bright if it is true - I was set to get one but haven't been able to find one yet (refuse to buy from BBY). Now they have announced a new one & a smaller version that I have to consider, not to mention an iPad3 release any time now.....
