How is LPP responding to GB? Any problems so far? Any changes needed?

I really like the GB home screens, but miss the widgets of LPP and am thinking of re-installing it. Was wondering if there are issues surfacing since GB is so new on the scene.

I've had no issues of substance with LPP. Like you I was using the new Blur (and even liked it quite a bit) but I really couldn't give up the widgets and the ability to add another row of apps to screens.

It's much faster than it was for me on Froyo. One time after I powered up LPP it FCed after freezing for a few seconds, but that's the only hiccup (and that happened once or twice on Froyo too).

So I say go for it.

I started using LPP again for a bit while on Gingerbread, but I ran into some problems. I can't remember what they are, though, unfortunately. Go Launcher EX works really well, though.

I think I'll try going back to ADW EX in a while to see how well it does.

I put LPP back on over GB. So far, seems OK. Quick, responsive. No problems ... so far.

The 15-touch and 15 slide (30 apps total) in the LPP rotating dock and the People widget with all options at a touch were deal-breakers for staying with GB's blur, nice as it is. For GB, I was glad to see the 7 screens, the home screen preview where you could have all 7 screens displayed in miniature, the trash at the top (took a while to find it) and particularly like the dark notification panel.

For those who are on Froyo and want to go to GB - Uninstall LP first and then go to GB and then reinsall LP after everything is loaded/synced back up. If you leave it installed during the upgrade, and it restores itself, it has some force closing problems that get annoying - they go away after you reboot though and everything should be fine.

It's more of an annoyance rather than a true "issue".

As a BTW - I have to say at this point I'm going to give the stock GB blur a chance.

I looked it over after GB install and it was MUCH improved over Froyo. But the lure of LPP's widgets was too great. Once I re-installed LPP over GB, I felt like I was back at Froyo, so I'm trying to work with the new GB interface - and lovin' it. Otherwise, what's new???

On stock launcher, I put three Circle Launchers (from Market) on my main screen. Two of them are for contacts and one is for misc apps that I use frequently.

I customized the icons for the circle launchers so they fit into the theme of the wallpaper. This makes up for the absence of the rotating docks and the LPP "people" widget. When you touch the contact pix in Circle Launcher, you get the same choices as with LPP ... phone, contact info, text, email. Pretty cool!

LPP hasn't worked fo rme in a while. I gave it another shot once I went to GB and got the FCs again.

I'm loving the new Blur though...

No problems for me with LPP . I reinstalled from titanium backup after flashing GB .588 Also LPP works as good as it did on froyo :)

9 days after GB, and LPP is suddenly very slow for me, especially when showing the screen previews.

I'm not convinced that LPP is the problem though - I tried out Go Launcher and the same thing happened.

Maybe I'm using too many widgets or something like that - but it wasn't a problem when I was on Froyo :\
