It looks like Sprint is releasing the Gingerbread update again, hopefully with all of the issues fixed this time.

I just got the update notification. Declined... lol. i think i'll wait until the verdict is in on this update after the ZVH debacle...

No need to unroot. If you except the ota update it will break root anyway. Now if you have a custom recovery you should not do the update until you restore stock recovery most likely.

I thought on this phone, a custom recovery will block/force fail any ota update. Maybe the LG Updater tool will work and then the update won't touch the recovery at all? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
