LTE signal

When I am coming out of my office where I can only get 4g it takes quite a while before LTE can be found. Is this normal when the area that I am in has a strong LTE signal? I'm on AT&T.

For T-mobile in Honolulu I lose lte when I walk into the food court in our shopping center. But as soon as I leave and go
Into the mall area it picks lte back up in about 5-10 Seconds

Ala moana. LTE drops to hspa +.
By patties Chinese kitchen. At Pearlridge I get LTE all over the place
