LTE vs. WiFi

Correct. No throttling of 4GLTE devices. 3G devices are network optimized

No, not true. Verizon does NOT throttle LTE. See below for specifics:

Network Optimization

Wasn't aware that Verizon even had this policy. Fortunately Note 2 has 4G LTE which I use. I would only have bought a 4G LTE phone in the first place. I was waiting for a big screen and 4G LTE on Verizon and when I saw the Note 2 had mutli-window and a stylus that was it.

I get 30/4 with roadrunner but I often have problems with speedsas a result from my cable being chewed up or weathered, but other tthan that, it is good! I have sprint on the other hand so... late is nonexistent in my area, but my brother got 3/4 with 2bars on his iPhone 5. And to stay on topic, my dad has late service where he works, but he doesn't know what lte even is. He doesn't have WiFi at work, so I imagine that he keeps lte on because he doesn't know how to turn it off and still comes home with 20% battery on an HTC evo 4glte

My comcast cable is usually $65/mo but yesterday they gave me Blast! for $50/mo for six months. They CLAIM that I won't pay any more than the $65 after the promo period, but we shall see! If they do try charging me more for it, I'll simply revert to the other speed, as in practice I see no tangible benefit if it's going to cost me extra.

Comcast did lower their "Blast" prices fairly recently. The price difference between their "Performance" 25 up/5 down and the "Blast" 50 up/10 down used to be huge. Now it's only $10. In any event, the differences I see are more on my PCs than on my Note 2. I forget to turn wifi on sometimes and I never notice with LTE (unlimited).

I have 30mb Internet with Charter, and I get 35mb down and 5 up. On lte I get 30-40 down and 10 up.

Man i use to sell cable and many people hate the cable companies with a passion. They rather get direct TV and bundle that with Verizon dsl. They hate the dsl speeds but they hate the cable company even more. They complain about the speed but I tell them that the farther you are from the dsl office the weaker the singnal will be. AND IN PEAK HOURS THEY CAN HARDLY DOWN LOAD A BOOK. They rather wait for fios and I don't blame them.

Note 2, it's true, ,size is everything!

What I find hilarious is when Century Link bangs on my door to switch me from Cox and they try to tell me how much better they are. Their top speed is 12Mbps and tv is thru satellite. I am getting 50Mbps & I hate satellite with a passion.

What is this mythical LTE thing? Never seen it. Come on T-Mobile, June is forever for me!!!!

My fios wifi is 45 over 40 on my phone and my lte average is 20 over 12. Fios rocks. 10 bucks extra for that speed but worth it. On my home pc it's over 50mbps

Ouch. AT&T DSL here too. It used to be problematic until they repaired a wiring issue in their equipment nearby that feeds our house. At least the service has been stable and speeds consistent since.

Wish I could switch to Charter (cable) and get their 30MB service. But they refuse to extend their services into a new addition (added back in 2005) to an older existing subdivision. Their wiring and equipment is a half a block away from my house! I can see it from my kitchen window. :( The only other option is satellite, but the latency is too high. Ah, wouldn't matter anyway, I'd still use LTE; the speeds are really good at the house and I still have unlimited data. :)

If enough people request their services they can extend it out to your neighborhood. My friend started a petition in his neighborhood and they bright their lines out. And just last month I got charter at my apt.

I used to leave my WiFi off all the time, when I had Clear. But now I leave it on with my Charter.
