LV Ads on Phone

My moms phone has these pop-ups on her cell phone and it changed to military time on the front. Any ideas? Installed Malwayre Bytes and Defender- nothing helps! Thanks!

Sounds like a rouge app that has permissions to post notifications and at least some level of system rights. If you can identify the app, you can either remove it (recommended) or in the apps settings, turn-off notifications for the app, review the permissions that app has and revoke any system permissions that app may have.

If this has started recently, I would delete any recently installed apps and then reboot. I personally don't trust apps that behave like you described.

Plug it into the computer and back up all her files and pictures. Then do a factory reset. Then put the files back and reinstall apps.

Did she start having the problem after a recent OS update? Or after some recent application installation/update?
If she reboots into Safe mode does the problem go away? If so it means there's a 3rd party application causing the problem.
She should be able to go into the Settings and turn off military time.

Does it have any flashlight apps, battery booster apps, ES file explorer, or Flash Keyboard?

These are all known apps that can put adware your phone and put unnecessary apps or make changes

It's a bad app. probably a game she downloaded.

Also disable Mobile Services Manager. It's a built in spyware that installs games automatically.
