Looks like this Toshiba T4KA7 is pretty stout. I downloaded the PDF and it should certainly take ridiculously awesome video. Framerates of 90fps@1080P and 150fps @720P sound great, meaning time-lapse and slow-motion video should look fantastic. Assuming HTC gives us those options. There are some questions about the lens and aperture HTC will use but I suppose nothing is for sure until Sunday when they show us all what they have.

Have we lost hope for OIS?

Pretty much yeah, which is a real shame...they took it out of the M7 to accommodate the dual camera set up, I was really hoping they would have seen it return for the M9 since they've ditched the duo cam

I haven't. It could certainly be back this year. It SHOULD be back this year. You don't get the 4 tires for $100 special at Pep Boys on your Bugatti Veyron.

Also, if you have a Veyron I would like to be your new best friend.

I'll be more disappointed by a lack of OIS than of a regurgitated design. And, they won't get my money. My next phone will have it, regardless.

As much as I love Sense UI and would hate to leave HTC again, I am thinking allot like you. OIS on a phone is almost nessasery today and is standard on many new phones. It's going to be a tough choice this year if HTC doesn't include it.
