M9 or G4?

So I'm due for an update in a month and am coming from iOS. The two phones I'm trying to decide from are the M9 and G4 on Verizon.

I love the hardware design of the M9 and the software. The theming and overall experience on the M9 is better imo than the G4.

The G4 does have the upper hand when it comes to the camera and removable battery.

Is it that much of a jump in screen size from 5" to 5.5" to make a huge difference?

How is video quality on the M9 when in a tripod with adequate lighting?

I love my 6plus screen and my note 2 as I'm so used to 5.5" screen as I can't stand anything smaller even 5"

It is a pretty noticeable difference in size. I've just gotten the M9 replacing a G3. While the screen of the M9 is nicer it is an adjustment for the screen size. I wanted a bit smaller of a phone though. If youre into a lot of video watching and gaming maybe the bigger screen would be better for you. Not so much an issue for me though. The G4 has a fantastic screen(my wife has the G4). It is much better than the G3 screen is.
Big trade off is the stereo front facing boom sound speakers on the M9 opposed to the G3/G4 single rear facing speaker.

Why don't you hang onto your phone for an additional month, and then get a Snapdragon 820-powered phone? Several should be out by then (or is the associated extra cost preventing that option)?

I am holding out for the 820 as well at this point. I just haven't decided which phone yet.
