Hello all!! I've been an Android user for well over a year now and I'm still loving it! It's always changing and sometimes hard to keep up with. Especially phones, right when I research and start to really want a phone something bigger and better comes out. Usually bigger. I've been with Verizon for a while but 4 days ago I ported my number over to Sprint. So far, so good!! I went with their original money maker the HTC Evo 4G. I really like it. The plan I have is great and right now my bill WITHOUT my discount is the same at my VZW bill WITH a discount. So if I choose to stay I'll definitely be saving some money once my discount goes into effect! I guess I just wanted to post a thank you to AC members for always posting honestly about their experiences with service and devices on all carriers! It helped me alot in making my decision. I'm glad I have 30 days to decide to keep it or not. My area doesn't have 4G for Sprint (surprise) but it has 3G! Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July!!!

Did you do the actual porting already or are you running two accounts?

I'm just asking because of the whole Verizon changing and raising their data plans on the 7th. Seems like a risky time to be jumping back and forth.

I have done the porting. The new data plans made me want to switch and the plan rates. I understand that I should be grandfathered in on my VZW account but so far I feel Sprint would be the best option for me. I wanted to do it before July 7th. My account is frozen I think. So if I come back I SHOULD have my same plan. If I chose to go back and I don't then I will be ok because I like Sprint. I don't think I'm going back.

Sounds good. I was with Verizon for 9 years and then switched to Sprint a little over 2 years ago. My only real complaint is I don't get quite as strong of a signal when deep inside a building. But besides that, coupled with the monthly savings with more features, I have had zero complaints.

Sprint is continuously growing in my area. So I believe it'll be a good change for me!

I am paying the same amount with 3 smartphones with my discount on Sprint as i did for 2 smartphones without a discount with us cellular. Sprint is great .

Sprint has some horrible corporate stores, but overall Sprint rocks. And the original evo is still a fantastic device. Honestly, you picked a good phone to start out with. But yes, Sprint's 4G does suck but mainly because of Clearwire.
