Magicapp suddenly stopped working on my Android Kitkat 4.4 phone

Well, I don't know who to blame: Magicjack, Android, or the G0ds (because I'm blameless of course) But I was happily using Magicapp across all my devices including my newish Android Phone with KitKat 4.4. Well, it WAS working across all my devices until suddenly last week it stopped working on my droid. I've gone the whole nine yards with trying to get this to work again, including talking to magicjack support and have them ask me the same questions at least three times. So far, no joy. I'm waiting for Magicjack engineers to look into this problem (face turns blue as I hold my breath).

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to Settings>Apps, select Magicapp, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now try again.

Have you also tried uninstalling it, then reinstalling?

I think I am having the same kind of issues and they popped up at around the same time. It keeps telling me to login and then takes me to a page that says "click button below to continue" and the button is not there. If and when I get to the dialpad it tells me I am offline. I went thru the hoops with magicjack support as well and they said it was the phones fault.... Uninstall/Reinstall do not work neither does clearing cache/data. It's very strange...

I have the same problem exactly, no button to press to start calling. Chatted with MJ tech support, they confirm there is a compatibility problem with some android smartphones including LG. ETA to fix is unknown.

The funny thing is, it was working fine for me on my LG for a long time and then one day it wasn't anymore. I hope they fix it soon.

Yup, worked on my LG also until a month or so ago. Apparently an update was downloaded and then no more MagicApp......

Yeah, I have already tried that and pretty much everything that I can think of. Started off by clearing cache and data for app, didn't work. Then removed and reinstalled the app multiple times, didn't work. I didn't want to do it for just this app but I reset the phone, didn't work. I don't remember there being an update, but I don't really keep to much track on this device (LG Optimus Fuel/L34C 4.4). The device is more than powerful enough for the MagicApp program and it used to work fine. MJ support are useless and they blame the device. Here is what I see. I open up the app and get the login page:

After logging in I get the next page where the problem is. It tells me to press the button to continue, but there is no button!!!:

I can get to the dialpad but trying to do anything from there comes with a quick response from the app telling me I am offline and need to login to continue. I am at my wits end with this garbage. I use this app on a year old device with no service to make/receive free calls in certain situations.

Funny, my LG is the Optimus Fuel L34C also......
That's crazy.. I just don't understand how that can be. It's an older Straight Talk device I used to have service with before switching to Republic Wireless. I would use the LG only for GPS navigation and to use for calls when on wifi on trips so I didn't have to carry my "better" device with me and have it lost or stolen. Worked great for me until this garbage happened. I gave up and haven't tried to use it in a while. I guess yours is still a no go too????

Still no go. Left it off my phone for a month and tried downloading it again today hoping they updated their crap program. Exactly the same screens as you show above once again. All the phone calls to tech support with the their acknowledgement that they are aware of it and their promises to have it fixed soon have yielded nothing. A different brand of phone is the only solution I know of at this time and mine is too new to scrap. I'm going to check out other smartphone calling programs. Good luck to you.

The problem is fixed for my LG. I downloaded the updated Magicapp a couple of months ago and all is well. Hope the same is true for you all.

The same thing happened to me and I figured out that the problem is with the internet provider. To overcome this use any of the VPN programs like flashvbn and it works. Set it up to be on the US.
