Magnetic charging port coming out?

I was planning to get a magnetic charging dock from Sony.
But saw a lot of posts where the magnetic charging dock caused problems (such as making the docking port in phone to come off)

Apparently it happens few months down the line.

Any ideas are very much welcome

I've heard of it happening, but I think it is relatively rare in comparison to the volume of Z2's out there. I've got the Sony dock from my old Z1 and have been using it for months with no sign of my port falling out. Hope that helps.

thanks...heard also it was with new phones.. so hopefully they soughted it in later phones

This just happened to me today. The magnet on the charger has been so strong, it actually pulled the prong-mechanism right out of the phone. I have been able to push it back in and it still charges fine. But still... Kind of unnerving to think this can happen.

To be honest, really don't worry about it. In the very unlikely event it affects your phone, just send it back. I've been using my Z2 with the magnetic dock since I got it and it's fine. It's also a great feature.
