Mail App Question

Hey guys, I just got my S3 yesterday and have had some issues getting my Yahoo mail set up. I'm coming from a Droid X as my prior phone.

My main issue is I can't get the mail on the phone to sync with the Yahoo server. I get new mail, but it doesn't sync as far as updating what I've read, deleted etc. on the PC when I look at the phone. SO basically it constantly shows unread messages even though I have read them, or deleted them, on the PC.

Does that make sense?

I was trying to find a way to mark all read but I don't see a way to do it off hand.

I tried searching the manual and online for a better description of the mail app to see what I'm missing but haven't had much luck.

I tried using the Yahoo mail setup in the S3 as well as just setting it up under teh generic e-mail set up. Both get me my mail, but neither syncs correctly.

Probably a n00b question I know, but I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(I know the answer is to just use Gmail but I've been using Yahoo forever and am comfortable with it. Not ready to give it up just for a phone)

Although its not the native mail app, I've had GREAT success using the Maildroid app with Yahoo email. It never had the "issues" other 3rd party email apps had with yahoo mail and the customer support is literally second to NONE. I will be getting my S3 monday so I'll see if I have the same issues as I plan to try using the native email app as well, but at least you know Maildroid is an option (Plus, you get your emails right away and it doesn't suck up much juice at all).

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to play with the native app a couple more days and see if anything changes or if I discover anything else but I'll definitely look into Maildroid in the meantime.
