Mail drama, can't attach documents in gmail or K9

Help..Help!!

Day 1 and I have already had mail drama! I switched to K9 to be able to use my gmail send-as identities.

Now it seems that it is impossible to attach documents to an email from within either gmail or the better k9.

Has anyone found a better workaround than opening the document and selecting share? I have a lot of email requests for information to which I <used to> attach relevant pdfs to the reply email.

None of these requests come from my contacts, so it is pretty obnoxious to have to exit the email, go to the document program select the document, request share via email and then hand enter the individual's email address.

Also it would be great to attach 2 documents.....

It seems so basic, I'm a little shocked that this seems impossible...it has to be me!

There was this thread earlier today with the same issue.

One user suggested downloading Astro file manager. Then, when you click attach from gmail, it'll give you the option to attach a file from Astro or from the Gallery.

Seems to work for me. Astro is free w/ ads, so its no big deal to give it a shot.
