Mail notification question

I have a problem, I've recently rooted my phone and flashed a Sense mod and currently my mail notification is being sent from the regular MAIL app on the phone, insead of my GMAIL app.

The way I would like it to work is whenever I get an e-mail notification, whenever i click that notification I would like it to open my GMAIL app instead of the default MAIL app.

I like the gmail lay out and its much easier to navigate through instead of the MAIL app. Is there a way to make GMAIL my default mail app instead of the sense MAIL app?

I've also tried to do the Clear data method that i've found on Google but the button will not allow me to press it.
