mail stopped working on HTC one M9

[Android Central Question]

Have been through forum answers from 2016 but webview doesn't seem to be installed so that possibly isn't the problem.

On phones with Nougat or above, it's not Android System Webview that you have to roll back -- it's Chrome (since Chrome does what Android System Webview did on Marshmallow and below).
