Mail sync slow

I have 2 Gmail accounts. New mail arrives almost immediately in the Gmail app on my phone, but can take hours to show up in the inbox of the Mail app. I like having both accounts show up in one place so prefer to use the Mail app, but the delay is frustrating! Both Gmail accounts are set to "push" mail and the Mail app is set to sync with both Gmail accounts. Anyone have any suggestions how to speed up the mail delivery??

The stock mail app is much slower then the gmail app and as fare as I know there is no way to speed it up

i use k9mail and it is instant like the gmail app.

also, you can set up gmail app to use several google accounts. I have mine set up to get my personal gmail and my work googe apps account. works nicely.

K9 mail is a very nice option. Even though the UI needs some work

Thanks! Downloaded K-9 Mail and it seems to be working much quicker than the standard mail app. It's not perfect but it does the job!
