Make bottom softkeys not as sensitive

Is this possible. I always accidentally hit the search button everytime I use the phone one handed and try to tap on the top opposite corner. My palm hits it. I notice though that only the search button is more sensitive than the others.

I hit that damn search button all the time. I wish there was a way to just disable it - I never use it anyway.

Same issue, I seem to hit the search button some how even when I only touch the back of the phone =/.

I couldn't lived with out the search button and move the HOME button a little closer.

I do the same thing ALL the time. Would be nice if there was an app to customize those buttons without rooting. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. After I added my Bodyglove case, my issues seemed to have disappeared. YMMV

Same here with a different case. The problem is that the touch area for the buttons is larger than the circle on the screen. When I would pick up the phone, my palm would hit the edge of the screen next to the button and activate it. You can try it with your finger to see where the edges really are.

After I put the case on, which has a raised edge around the screen, I'm having way less problems with accidentally activating the buttons. I don't know if they can send out an update to reduce the area that trigger the buttons or not.

Add yet another frustration to my list (it's growing, but I'm still happy with the phone, I just have to stop comparing it to the Pre, is all). Because of the size of the phone, holding with one hand forces your fingers to kind wrap around the edges of the phone, and both the home and search buttons are so close to the edges, they get depressed at lot.

Yeeesh, if it's the same Body Glove case I got at launch (and promptly returned), it actually made accessing the volume/power button harder. Because the edges of the case are so damn flimsy, I wasn't sure if I was clicking the button or the edge of the case.
