Make messaging look more like default android?

So I just got a new Fascinate a couple days ago and so far I really like it but there are a few UI things that I don't really like. One of these is the way the Fascinate handles SMS. I don't like the bubbles like the iPhone uses and would rather it just be like standard Android or how the Epic is. Is there anyway to do this besides using Handcent or another SMS replacement? Thanks for the help.

i agree. I wish there was a way to change the colors in the email as well. the black with cyan colored text is not my thing. I like plain white with black/grey text like in the gmail email UI.
