Android Central Question

I put a pass code on my phone because it goes rouge in my pocket. I make sure it is locked before putting it back in my pocket. My phone posts on fb, searches the web and makes calls while in my pocket.

It sounds like your lock delay. So if you have a 2 minute lock delay even though your screen is off it doesn't actually lock for 2 minutes. Which means if you put your phone on a table up to 119 seconds you could reach over and tap the phone and it would open just like you just put you code in. The same thing is true in your pocket. For 119 seconds your phone is still essentially unlocked and once the screen is active the timer never starts and unseen it can stay awake and do all kinds of things. You should have an option to lock immediately when the screen turns off. This can be annoying if you're one to close your device and immediately open it for some last minute thing or to do something you didn't think of till you turned the screen off but a slight annoyance and some retaining is far less of a burden than making random calls or changing settings.

Welcome to Android Central! How are you making sure it's locked before you put it in your pocket? Do you have the option for the Power button to lock the phone immediately turned on?
