I want to get the straight talk plan for my optimus. Is there a way I can get an app that makes a virtual sim card or make an sd card work as one? It'd make life easier and cheaper

Not in a million years. Completely different hardware.

I'm thinking, first to deal with the frequency difference, instead of modifying the signal in the time domain, we could somehow contain the phone in a time dilation warp bubble.

Then if we could boost the power of google translate's api, there is a chance that we could adapt the protocol to show up on the other carrier's network.

its a long shot... but if i learned anything from scifi, anything is possible ;)

(just so there is no confusion, this post is an attempt at humor)

Straight Talk actually does use CDMA for their Android phones. I think we covered this in a previous topic honestly..

The best thing you could do is find an actual Straight Talk representative and ask them, maybe call up Tech Support. You'll just need your MSL from Sprint first.

Brain1993, you may still be able to do it. But first off did you purchase your phone online? If so, where? If not, where else did you purchase it?

From a sprint store, not online, couldn't pay for service anymore so it got shut off. I use it as a play toy and a touch mp3 player and video. I use wifi to do everything and I've been going crazy with ROMing. So if any would like to help I want to make a rom too.
