making music in google music available offline

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I'm not seeing how to make music available offline in google music. I clicked the menu key in the top and clicked "make available offline", but I only see how to make albums available, not individual songs. Does anyone know how to do that?

usually the most recent songs you've listen to become temp downloaded so when you play them again it plays it immediately, in terms of actually downloading it i'm not to sure, I think most of the stuff is streaming

right, but there's a way to make the music available even if your device is offline. I can do it with whole albums, what I'm looking for is how to do it with individual songs
