Making The Leap To Freedom

Afternoon all,

After finally making the leap from iOS to the S9+ I thought I'd take the delicate steps onto an Android forum and say hi.....

I'm already loving the S9+ but it is for definite going to take some getting used to. I've been spoon fed for so long, I've finally been given my big boy pants!

What are your top tips and top accessories for the S9. I've already adjusted the screen to top quality and disabled Bixby....seems Androiders really hate Bixby, I didn't want to give her the opportunity to integrate herself in my life So off she went.

Also, whatsapp.....have I really lost ALL my messages???

Welcome to Android Central, Dan! I'm so glad you are enjoying your S9+! Here are my suggestions for you;

- don't overwhelm yourself. Only do a couple of changes at a time (ie, change wallpaper one day; check out different icon packs the next day)
- download Zedge! It's a great free app to download new wallpapers, ringtones, notification tones, and I on packs
- there are a lot of previous iPhone users here around the forums - ask them and us for help as you are doing - no question is too silly!
- for accessories, I'd recommend a tempered glass screen protector. If you are in the market for a case (which I also recommend), and if you are a rough user or something like that, OtterBox is a good brand!

Welcome to Android Central! Did you use Smart Switch to transfer data from your iPhone to your new phone? I think it transfers messages as well -- but it might only be SMS messages (i.e., text messages you sent to non-iPhone users, since the ones you sent to other iPhones would be iMessage format).
