Managing notifications from the notifications banner?

I have five notifications from the notification banner when I swipe down from the top of the screen. How can I clear four of those but keeping one? How can I achieve this?

Notifications from what? Are they all from the same app, grouped together? If they're all from different apps, you should be able to swipe away each individual notification. If they're grouped together from one app, then try swiping down slightly on that grouped notification to expand it, and then see if you can swipe away individual notifications.

From Google Play updates and the one I like to not remove at the moment is also from a Google Play app installation.

How can I remove the notifications from a Google Play app updates that were installed but only keeping the notification from an app I installed from the Play Store?

Do you mean that you don't want to be notified about Google Play Store app updates at all? Open the Play Store, tap Menu>Settings>Notifications and turn off the Auto-Updates toggle.
