Managing storage space

I have a portable memory card in my phone which is why all of my pictures go. Yet, somehow my apps are taking up a crazy amount of data, leaving me with about 10 gb left. My memory card is one of the fastest available, so I've thought about formatting it as internal, but I've read a lot of people saying not to.

My question is how is my phone getting close to running out of storage?

Is there a way to send app data (like saved spotify songs or saved contacts) to the memory card?

Not sure that can be answered unless we knew what apps you have installed.
I have 145 installed and it takes up almost 8gb. Not sure how that compares to you or others.

Maybe photos or video storage? Post a screen shot of your storage.

I have 5.08 gb used in apps with very few apps installed.. Tapatalk, YouTube, Swipe, and Zedge.. this is great question i think...Awaiting your replies.

I used the stock tools which showed my 5.08gb in apps..
