Manual Control Of LTE

On the s8 with Pie, I had the ability to manually control the lte int the notification area, that is not on the s10+. The WiFi controls the lte use, as it seems by default that WiFi has priority unless no signal is found. Thus, I was able to have no connections if I wanted to.

I don't like to have the data constantly open like that, not that I'm so interesting that people will want to know what I am doing but it really eats battery life.

Anyone know if this is still possible?
Anyone know why they took it out?

THank you for the site and the help.

mobile data is indicated with a up and down arrow

double swipe down, hit the 3 dots.. select button order and put mobile data on the tab.

Yes, I know that too and I am saying that it is not there. It's the first thing I checked.

yes, to the right. I am not an expert by any means, but i do know a bit about this and it simply is not there to be selected.

Thank you.

Does anyone know if this is an OS based option or do the carriers have the ability to remove/hide it?

If I understand your questions correctly, I'm pretty sure that you can do this with Samsung's "Good Lock" app.
(1) Go to the Galaxy store -- NOT the play store
(2) Download "Good Lock"
(3) Open "Good Lock" and download/install "QuickStar"
(4) Open "QuickStar" and enable it.
(5) Click on "Visibility of Indicator Icons"
(6) Enable the items that you want to see

While I appreciate the tip, that isn't it

In the pull down are where the airline mode indicator is, there used to be the lte up/down arrow button that allowed you to turn off lte. It was there on s8 even after the pie update.
As @frederickdawg stated, it is not there on TMobile or on my At&T.

I did try your suggestion. It was not the solution. the indicators on the status bar work fine.
The button in the pull down simply is not there, therefore there is no way to disable LTE, so in order to not eat data, you have to have a valid wifi, however none of this help turn everything off. I got into the habit early on of turning off all my data when I didnt need it and imo it added 10 to the amount of time needed between charges.

Now understand, you can still turn off data, but it's buried under 4 layers of menu instead of the button icon.

This is very annoying and has to be an s10 series issue, as the s8 with Pie has the button in the drop down.

I never had LTE quick toggle, but it was labelled "Mobile Data". That toggle isn't present, but was on my unlocked note 9.

You can create a Bixby routine that will turn off/on mobile data. You can add the icon to your screen so you don't need to speak to Bixby or dig through menus.

usually you see the data toggle on unlocked model ,most carrier phones dont have it.
