I'm new to Android, been searching around this site, and I'm confused about manually installing Froyo.

1) Is this link the place to download the latest/official Froyo version?
androidcentral.com/another-froyo-ota-nexus-one-frf91-time-around

2) So this version above can be installed on a stock/non-rooted Nexus One, correct?

3) I can't find the instructions on how to manually install (without rooting).

Thanks.

Froyo was already released to the Nexus One over the air. If you have a stock/non-rooted Nexus One, why wouldn't you already have Froyo?

I'm not in the U.S. I've been checkin for the update for the past week, and it kept saying that the phone was up to date at 2.1.

But it doesn't matter now because I just received the OTA update about an hour ago. Good stuff so far.

im in the same boat, how i manually update it without my carriers OTA upate system?
When i go to check for system update i get system is up to date...
