(I have T Mobile)
Hello all. I am new here and tried searching the forum for these issues but couldn't find anything. I was wondering if you guys could help me some of these issues. I plan on taking it to the T Mobile store on Monday because I am on my way out of town.

But here are the issues.
Well, sometimes I don't even receive texts at all. I get asked all the time why I don't respond to my friends texts and it's simply because I do not receive them. (Most of them seem to be longer texts, but not all.)

Some of the texts I receive get "changed up" if you will. For example, my girlfriend sent me a text that was supposed to read...
"Leaving work now. On my way home to work out with Mackenzie."

Instead I received...
"Leaving work now. On my way home to work out wiTerry's desk!"

The 'Terry's desk' part was from a text I received about a week prior to that. Also, I sometimes get bombarded with about 15 1 to 4 week old texts 5 seconds.

Has anyone else had an issue like this?

I use Chomp form texting so not sure if you will have the same options in the stock messenger, but in settings in the Chomp, under mobile carrier network, there is a check box to check if you use T mobile in the US. Also there is a setting to check if your network is CDMA that will automatically split long text messages if your network has limted support for these. Maybe have a look in the stock app for similar settings, or try Chomp

On my old HTC Sensation I could receive long texts without splitting them. Coiuld that change with a different phone?

I am not sure if the phone itself is the problem, but it is more a carrier thing. Did you have to change sim cards with the N4? You appear to have issues even with shorter messages so it may not be a length thing at all. Just thought I would offer some suggestions. Definitely sounds like a problem with your cell plan provider, although a 1000 character text is pretty darn long!! :-)
