Maps 5.2 Places working for anyone else (TR 1.7)?

Was trying to use "Places" inside Maps today to find a specific restaurant, and every time, as soon as I click on any of the icons inside the "Places" menu, it just immediately goes back to the map screen without showing any results. Is anyone else seeing this behavior with ThunderROM 1.7 with the Maps 5.2 update? If I uninstall the update and go back to the version that comes with ThunderROM, everything works fine. Does anyone know if this is a larger issue with the Maps app, or something inherent to ThunderROM? Thanks.

It's a problem with the update. Seems like everyone, based on comments in the market, are having the same issue. I went back to 5.1 also.

I'm using CM7 on the 02/27 nightly and also had to roll back to 5.1. The search function was totally broken.
