I finally got the update last night on Verizon with unlocked phone

I experienced the same issue when I charged my P9PXL this afternoon. When I checked after a period that would ordinarily max out the charge at 80%, my phone was up to 90%. I assume that Google will fix that with an update in due course. But it's the first issue I've had with this device -- which is remarkable.

Did anybody else lose the quick tab for Bedtime mode after the update? It's not even showing the in available unused tabs.

It looks like this is a deliberate calibration of the battery. Charge your phone to 100% and keep it charged until the shield logo appears. After that, you're phone should stop at 80% for subsequent charges.

Thanks for the advice -- that process restored the 80% cap on charging.
