I am not receiving a notification when my A54 phone gets a text message. My phone is 1 year old and this issue just started.

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Introductions forum to the Ask A Question forum, since this is more of a question than an intro.

Which messaging app are you using -- Google Messages, Samsung Messages, or something else?

Is this when you're actively using the phone with the messaging app open? Or is this when the phone is idle with the screen off?

Do you have do not disturb enabled when you're not receiving these alerts?

Since things were working OK previously and the problem recently started to occur, have you tried just restarting your phone? A simple restart often clears any one-off glitch that might pop up. If the problem is still there after a restart at least you know it's not just a temporary thing and is actually something to look into.

samsung messages. i do not have do not disturb selected. It does it all the time
